Advanced Faculty Training initiative of C-DAC Hyderabad and Department of Information Technology
Major Objective of this programme is to impart Advanced Training through Innovative and Participative learning-teaching approaches adopting a mini-project based training framework for engineering faculties in the areas of Information Technology
Realizing the need for skilled manpower in advanced areas of IT, the Department of Information Technology (DIT) has initiated a new programme on “Manpower Development for the IT Industry”. The primary objective of this programme is to overcome the shortage of employable engineering graduates. Based on the current education system, it may be more useful if the engineering faculties are regularly exposed to the needs of IT industry so that they can in-turn nurture, educate and mould their students while they are still in the college. Analyzing the need from the industry, Embedded Software, System Software and Application Software, were identified as key focus areas. Based on the strengths in these core areas, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of DIT was given the responsibility of conducting Advanced Faculty Training Programme.
