e-Security
C-DAC Hyderabad has gained wide experience in Cyber Security through various R&D projects leading to indigenous multilayered operating system level security solutions. Anticipating the need for end system security in enterprise networks, C-DAC Hyderabad has taken up research projects, which involved development of end system security solutions for safeguarding the network applications and also the end systems. Indigenous end system security solutions, EnSAFE and RealSAFE were evolved as a result of R&D efforts. These solutions provide security for TCP and UDP based network applications. Malware Analysis and Prevention is another R&D area of the centre. Efforts are put to evolve operating system level security solutions with focus on both proprietary (Windows) as well as open source (Linux) operating systems. As part of National Ubiquitous Computing Research Centre Initiative, efforts are being made in evolving a security & privacy framework for Ubiquitous Computing Applications. Centre is also actively involved in various training and awareness activities. Know in Detail
e-Learning
Objective of the project is to develop quality metrics that can be used for quantifying the various quality parameters of an e-learning tool and the content and develop a prototype tool that can be used by end users for deriving the quality metrics so that the effectiveness of a tool can be measured and also different tools can be compared. UbiComp
The technology trends
across the globe are pointing towards Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) to
make intelligent devices, all pervasive, and effectively invisible to
the user. UbiComp has potential applications in several sectors such as
Mobile Computing, High Performance Computing, Network Security,
Agriculture, Surveillance and empowering the common man to improve the
quality of life. With the increasing penetration of mobile
communication and Internet, India does offer a great market for UbiComp
and its proliferation. Know in
