Model e-Villages in North East India
The model e-Village Project is
currently being implemented in selected 10 remote tribal villages of
East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, North-East India, from July
2008, partnering with College of Horticulture and Forestry, Central
Agricultural University, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.
The main objectives of this project are
- Creating computer infrastructure in remote tribal villages to provide e-awareness and e-literacy to the tribal community
- Developing an integrated sustainable model for ICT based services for North Eastern States with special focus on Agriculture and allied areas
- Study the impact of India Development Gateway products and services in the selected villages
